Rule of 72



Take the interest rate and divide into 72. This tells you "approximately" how long it will take for your money to double.
Example:72/11.6 = 6.2 Years

Now in 2021, money invested in money market funds at 1% the doubling time is about 72 years,
and at 0.01% it’ll be about 7200 years.
