The 11-year sunspot cycle "supposedly" has some close correlations to the stock market, economic advances and recessions. Periods of high mass excitability in general. Out of curiosity I plotted monthly sunspot activity  (from 1942 in red), the DJIA (dark Blue), and the 52-Month ROC of the Dow (light blue). The graph is as of 11/18/08  What do you think?
